💔 Sweet puppy, Boone was found as a stray during our frigid ice storm last week. Boone came to us in heartbreaking condition— painfully skinny, full of parasites, and struggling with Demodex mange. To make matters worse, he has a serious injury to his jaw that has been left untreated for far too long, resulting in an infection that has now reached his jaw bone.
Boone's situation is dire. We're fighting daily to manage the infection, but there are risks that weigh heavily on our minds. If we can't get the infection under control, the infection could weaken Boone's jawbone, leading to fractures, or even worse, he could fall into septic shock. But we're hopeful! 💪 With the right treatment and lots of love, we believe Boone can pull through.
